The island’s capital, located on New Providence is a small but very modern city, famous for its colorful mixture of ultra modern buildings and old specimens of colonial architecture. From small and noisy village, once founded by pirates for almost nothing left – lots of colorful buildings around the harbor and Port promenade, wide business areas are teeming with people, and numerous markets and duty-free shops offer goods from around the world. By the middle of XX century, after the deepening of the harbor and the construction of international airport, Nassau took up to 1 million visitors, and already the 70 th year, after the construction of the bridge to Paradise Island and Cable Beach beautification, the city took up to 2,5 million tourists a year.

Bahamas PalmtreeThe famous Cable Beach, which lies in 7 km to the west of downtown, is an area of luxury hotels, casinos, restaurants, sports facilities and beautiful sandy beaches. Opposite a beautiful beach, framed by casuarina groves, lies the island of Nord-Cay and Long Cay, considered to be excellent places for snorkelling and picnics. At the end of Cable Beach is the beach Delaporte Point Beach, which is a luxurious complex of villas in the Venetian style, quaint shops and restaurants. The same luxurious tourist area located on the island Paradise Island, connected with the capital of a long bridge.

Marine area around Nassau is widely known for its excellent facilities for water sports and fishing. Long and deep reefs, as a wall line the southern shore of the island, especially the intricate curves around the bay Coral Bay, a shallow west coast is literally teeming with marine life – are flourishing sea fishing and snorkelling. And around town are located more than 10 world-class yacht clubs.
