The Bahamas flag. 1:2 ratio. Represents a three-band flag. The bands are placed horizontally. The upper and lower bands are blue, central is yellow. At the base of the flag is shown a black triangle, which occupies 1/3 of the length of the flag.
Adopted in 1973, yellow stripe symbolizes the sand of the Bahamas , blue stripes – the sea, black triangle indicates the unity of the people of the islands in their quest for development.
